Bridgend Schools v Aberavon School Boys

Rugby returns to the Timbuild Brewery Field on Friday as Bridgend Schools U15 take on Aberavon School Boys.

Having not hosted a game for a number of weeks, hot on the heels of Bridgend Athletic facing Glynneath in Admiral National League Div 1 West Central on Saturday, the Timbuild Brewery Field is the venue once again on Friday evening as Bridgend Schools U15 look to bounce back from their defeat last week to Swansea Schools at St Helen’s.

Bridgend Schools play a huge role in the rugby pathway in the borough, with many current and former Bridgend Ravens having come through the development system, and we as a club are delighted to host the match on Friday.

“We realise the role that Bridgend Schools play in the production of players not just for Bridgend, but for the wider benefit of Welsh rugby.” said Tony Williams, Bridgend Ravens Club Secretary.

“It’s fantastic that we as a club can host their fixture against what will be a good Aberavon School Boys team. Both teams are very proud of their history and we’re looking forward to providing a great opportunity for the players of both teams to play on the Timbuild Brewery Field in front of what we hope will be a great crowd under the lights on Friday.”

Ahead of Friday’s match, the club are on the look out for volunteers to help assist with the organisation of the match, with match day roles needing to be filled to help with tickets and basic stewarding. If you are interested in helping, please email or contact us via Social Media.
