Maiden ‘We’re determined to get things right’

As all attentions turn to the Foster’s Challenge Cup, caught up with second row Kyle Maiden ahead of the clash in Cardiff on Wednesday evening.

Kyle returned to the Ravens in the summer and really made his mark in December, swooping for three consecutive man of the match awards and a try in the last round of Foster’s Cup games against Aberavon at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field.

After a disappointing end to the first half of the league campaign, Bridgend go in search of more Foster’s Cup glory at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Wednesday. The Ravens sit top of Pool 4 and know two victories in the remaining matches with Cardiff (A) and Neath (H) would secure a semi final place.

‘From a personal point of view, I do believe that we are going in the right direction. We’re got an experienced core to the squad, with a really strong team morale and we’re determined to get things right on the pitch. We’re also keen to develop youngsters from within the squad which you can see is coming to fruition this season.

The fans have been fantastic since I’ve returned to the club and we’ve been backed by great numbers wherever we’ve travelled to. It’s always a special atmosphere when we play at Cardiff and I urge as many supporters as possible to get to the Arms Park on Wednesday to cheer us on as we aim for the Foster’s Cup semi finals.’
