The Ospreys at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field

The Riverside Hardware Brewery Field will host a landmark game between a Premiership select XV against Georgia.

A team of players from amongst all 14 Premiership teams will face one of the emerging powers of the European game at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field in Bridgend on March 27th (KO @ 7pm).

Tandy takes charge of Ospreys

New Ospreys' Head Coach Steve Tandy

Ospreys Rugby can confirm that Steve Tandy has been appointed to the post of Head Coach following the departure of Sean Holley and will take charge of team affairs at the region ahead of Friday’s RaboDirect PRO12 fixture against Aironi at the Liberty Stadium. 

32-year old Tandy, from Tonmawr, will be assisted by current Forwards Coach Jonathan Humphreys, with the full make-up of his coaching team to be confirmed.

An Ospreys ‘original’, Tandy has been a part of the Ospreys set-up since the inception of regional rugby, his debut coming in September 2003 against Leinster at Donnybrook. In total, he played 102 times for the Ospreys, scoring 10 tries, with his final appearance coming against Edinburgh in March 2010.

Ravens on the scoresheet for Wales U20

Bridgend Ravens' Luke Morgan scores for Wales U20

Bridgend Ravens’ Ross Jones and Luke Morgan were the heroes for Wales U20 as they defeated Scotland U20 at Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay on Friday.

Full Back Jones was first on the scoresheet, finishing off a well worked move, before Morgan scored two trademark scores to further enhance his growing reputation. Young Ospreys Outside Half Sam Davies controlled the game very well from fly-half, converted twice and kicked three penalties for a personal haul of 13 points to lead Wales to a well earned 28-15 win, as Wales gained their first win in this years competition after last week’s close 11-6 loss to their Irish counterparts.

Supporters Transport
We still have spaces left on the supporters bus to Llanelli on Saturday, leaving from the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field at 12:30pm. Due to most wanting to watch the Six Nations, the bus will be leaving straight after game.

Cost to travel is £6 adults, £3 juniors with an extra £1 charge for non-supporters club members.

Ravens in Wales U20′s for Scots clash

Bridgend Ravens would like to congratulate Ross Jones, Luke Morgan and Dan Suter for their selection for the 22 to face Scotland at Under 20′s level this weekend.

Ross Jones and Luke Morgan retain their places at full back and wing respectively, with Dan Suter again on the replacements bench. The game is taking place at Parc Eirias, kicking off at 7:35pm (being broadcast on S4C from 7:15pm). Sadly, Nathan Edwards was unavailable for selection following an injury sustained in the deafeat against Ireland on Friday.
