Carmarthen Quins advanced to the next round of the Swalec Cup, with a close run 20-18 victory over Bridgend.
The teams had only met 7 days prior, with the Quins defeating the Ravens 17-34 at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field. However, credit must go to the Ravens, who despite missing several first teamers, produced a far improved showing.
Carmarthen Quins secured a bonus point win at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field with a sensational second half display.
The Ravens seemed in control of the match, leading 17-5 at half time through two tries from winger Luke Morgan. However, a reformed Quins outfit emerged in the second half, running in a further 4 tries to secure a winning bonus point.
Bridgend Ravens secured a sensational win over Pontypridd following an excellent second half performance and a last gasp penalty from Dai Flanagan.
In a classic game of two halves, the Ravens trailed at 3-15 at the break following scores from Matthew Nuthall and Chris Clayton for the away side. The Valley men displayed some of the rugby that has seen them compete at the higher reaches of the Premiership over recent seasons, and were unlucky to not be further ahead at the interval.
Bridgend Ravens emphatically returned to winning ways with a five try victory at Bedwas.

Bridgend Ravens tasted defeat in the first game of 2012, as Llanelli came away with the spoils on a soggy day at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field.
With the kickers exchanging the early points, Steve Cullen levelled the game with a superb solo effort after a kick ahead. Llanelli scored two tries at the end of the first half to soar into a 14 point lead, and the game seemed all but won for the West Wales side.
