Midfield bolstered with Floyd Ellis Signing

By Aled Thomas | 12/06/2018

Fresh from winning the Most Improved Player at the club's End of Season Awards, Stuart Floyd Ellis has penned a deal to join Bridgend Ravens permanently from Bridgend Athletic.

Stuart featured 10 times for Bridgend Ravens last season; seven of those resulting in victories for Matt Silva's men. He made his club debut with an impressive performance in the Ravens agonising defeat to Pontypridd at Sardis Road, before cementing a place alongside Nathan Edwards in Bridgend's midfield. Stuart's endeavours were rewarded with four tries, all in his last four games for the club, including the first score in the win over Aberavon at the Talbot Athletic Ground in May.

A product of Bridgend Athletic, Stuart played all of his junior rugby for The Ath. His performances saw him quickly move up to senior rugby, with some standout performances for the club during this season's Division 1 campaign. This saw Stuart added to the Ravens training squad after Christmas where he quickly made an impression on the club's coaching staff. He now makes the move a permanent one and is looking forward to getting preparations for 2018/19 underway.

'I'm really happy to sign for my home town club. I feel I started well at the end of last year, so I'll be looking to carry that form into next season. Hopefully we can push on towards the top of the table and have a good cup run.'
