Pontypridd secured a league double over Bridgend Ravens with an impressive bonus point win at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field.
Bridgend fought back well and came within inches of scoring through Steve Winn, but Pontypridd held out well. The pressure from the home side saw Lewis Williams kick his side back into the game.
The resistance did not last long however, as Ponty added a second try from Jake Thomas, having earlier knocked on over the line. The Ravens stemmed the flow of points from the visitors with some impressive defence, with the scrum gaining numerous penalties. The referee controversially chose not to card any of the Ponty pack who were heading backwards rapidly at the set piece.

The second half saw more of the same from Pontypridd. Chris Clayton crossed within seconds out wide to further the visitors lead. Flanagan added an excellent touchline conversion.
The rest of the half was dominated by errors, but new signing Glenn Holloway got some quick ball wide to Lloyd Evans to cross in the corner. Williams hit the post with the resulting conversion.Bridgend went in search of a further score, but Pontypridd came closest when full-back Geraint Walsh hacked through, but knocked on with the line at his mercy. Embarrassingly for the visitors, the same happened again, as number eight Jake Thomas fumbled as he looked certain to score. As the game drew to a close, Glen Lewis raced away but was halted by some solid Ponty defence.
