Bridgend Ravens host Cross Keys in their final home game of the season at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field on Saturday (KO 2:30pm).
The home side have endured a difficult campaign, but will be looking to end the season on a high with an eighth league victory before travelling to Ospreylian rivals Aberavon on the final weekend.
Last time out, the Ravens gained a losing bonus point in a rain soaked Riverside Hardware Brewery Field in a defeat to Llandovery (5-10). The game was marred by errors and penalties, with Tom Grabham crossing out wide for Bridgend’s only score.
Bridgend hold the upper hand in clashes between the sides. There have met twenty times, with the Ravens prevailing fourteen times. Keys have won the remaining six. They have also scored an impressive 564 points to 340 scored by Cross Keys. Recently, Bridgend also have the advantage. The last five games have seen the Ravens win three times (2009 & the double last season).
Keys have won the other two, including a comprehensive victory in September, 35-15. Bridgend went into the game following a huge win over Llanelli, but were out muscled by the men of Gwent. The visitors only had five Ross Jones penalties to show for their efforts, as Keys ran riot.
