Match Preview

Ravens v Swansea (h) Preview

Bridgend Ravens will look to build on last weekend’s thrilling comeback victory against Newport when they Ospreylian rivals Swansea at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field on Friday - KO 7.15pm.

The Ravens’ incredible second half performance at Rodney Parade was a mirror image of the same fixture back in November, albeit with a slightly lower scoreline, and the Bridgend boys will be hopeful of replicating the form they found last time round when they went on to win five games in six.

On the other hand, Swansea have only one league victory all season which came when they convincingly beat Aberavon in Week 2. They sit nine points adrift of the 11th-placed Wizards heading in to the last quarter of the season but are one of only five Principality Premiership sides left in the latter stages of the SWALEC Cup.

The Ravens have slipped below an in-form Neath side to occupy 10th spot in the table but are just a bonus point victory away from catching Cardiff in 7th and with four home games in a row will be confident that a lively home atmosphere can propel them to a more deserving mid-table position as the season draws to a close.
